Student Apartment, Suva Fiji Island

Apartment
This student housing development is strategically located in Laucala Bay, Suva, bridging the gap between the Capital’s Education Precinct and the adjacent retail district. Situated on a long, narrow site, the project serves as a transitional zone that integrates the academic and commercial environments.
The development consists of four identical three-story apartment blocks. This repetition is intentional, creating a cohesive and homogeneous visual identity. The units are self-contained, offered in a mix of open-plan studios and two-bedroom configurations. Designed specifically for students relocating from overseas or outer islands, the complex prioritizes a sense of “home” and functional living. A strong focus on combining habitual living, learning, and recreation while Units feature cross-ventilation to manage the tropical climate and are positioned to frame ocean views. Ample storage solutions are built into the design.
The development can be characterized as a “Semi-Resort Apartment” living space. It features a free-flowing façade entry that reveals the internal structure, leading to a central courtyard equipped with palm trees, a swimming pool, and recreational facilities to support a balanced student lifestyle.
