Architectural Synopsis This project creates a dialogue between the existing suburban fabric and the future of urban densification. DesignLife’s intervention replaces a single dwelling with three “luxury” units, effectively tripling the site density.
The site layout is a rigorous response to both Regulatory Constraints (Town Council Schemes) and physical limitations (Rear Easements). Two double-story units define the street frontage. While the lower levels respect the established neighborhood character, the upper-level façade deviates intentionally to create architectural interest, acting as a modern counterpoint to the streetscape.
A central Fire-Rated Party Wall, which acts as a safety measure and the spine of the development, dividing the units to maximize land potential efficiently. The material palette focuses on “Luxury” and “Sustainability,” integrating eco-friendly materials and energy-efficient systems. This ensures that the increased density is balanced by a reduced carbon footprint.
