This residential project represents a profound synthesis of Cosmological Architecture and Biological Functionalism. It moves beyond traditional “luxury” by treating the home as a metaphysical and physiological extension of its inhabitants.
The most distinctive theoretical aspect is the evolution of the structure through the astrological data of the family. The entrance, anchored by a water fountain, serves as a Ritualistic Threshold. In Vaastu Shastra, this feature acts as an energetic filter, transitioning the user from the external urban environment into a sanctum of “positive energy.” Rather than a purely topographical response, the building’s footprint is a cosmic map. Every spatial allocation—from the 5 bedrooms to the car access—is calibrated to the residents’ horoscopes. This aligns with the theory of Metaphysical Architecture, where the dwelling is designed to synchronize the occupants with universal forces to foster “prosperity and abundance.”
Despite the constraints of an urban site, the design employs Spatial Optimization to house a complex program, including dual kitchens, a study, a rumpus room, and a continuous second-floor balcony. The second-floor balcony acts as a “liminal ribbon,” connecting the private interior to the exterior environment. This allows a large-scale home to maintain a sense of openness and “urban style” without feeling detached from its surroundings.
