BERWICK
The design integrates contemporary architectural elements with a warm, inviting material palette. The use of brick at the base grounds the building in its environment, providing texture and visual warmth, while the upper levels feature sleek, modern materials such as metal panels and large glass windows, emphasizing transparency and openness.
Positioned on a compact urban site just a short walk from the railway station, this building offers an ideal location for professionals and frequent travellers. Despite its proximity to a designated flood zone and exposure to rail noise and vibrations, these challenges have been effectively resolved through thoughtful architectural design.
The three-storey structure comprises four residential units, each featuring a private landscaped courtyard, individual balcony, and secure parking equipped with EV charging facilities. The building’s ground level has been elevated to mitigate flood risks, while advanced sound-insulating materials minimize noise and vibration from the nearby railway, ensuring a peaceful and comfortable living environment.
