Interior Fit-out
Location: Lautoka, Fiji
Client: Fiji Sugar Corporation

To develop a centralized head office for the Fiji sugar co-operation to centralise business operations from various townships. DesignLife offered a flexible concept design that not only improves business operations and empowers productivity.

The interior setup has an open and flexible office space, Special hub rooms, Laboratory testing facility and boardrooms. The total acquired area is 2000sq.m. The design provided by DesignLife had flexible parking space for a large number of individuals.

The office complex has a combination of enclosed offices and a large open plan coupled with huddle or meeting rooms. The overall interior setup of any office also plays a major role to create an impact on employee productivity. DesignLife came up with an ideal interior design that allows the employees to focus on their work and collaborate and communicate as and when needed. The overall structure of the office is structured keeping in mind the physical and mental comfort of the people to help them function the best.

The most important element was the funnelling effect to reduce the energy cooling costs of the building and deliver cross ventilation. The funnel could push hot air to the central cylindrical void to pull hot air out of the building and delivering a cool breeze inside the premises.
